Primary Arabic Teacher

We are looking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Arabic Teacher to join our Primary Modern Foreign Languages department, starting as soon as possible. You will be joining a friendly and supportive team and will contribute to teaching Arabic to native and non-native Arabic speakers. 

You will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering outstanding lessons, monitoring and evaluating student achievement, and contributing to the accomplishment of Doha College’s vision and mission.

To be successful, you will:

• have the ability to teach Islamic Studies, and the ability to teach an additional language will be a distinct advantage
• have a bachelor’s degree in Arabic/Islamic studies and education
• hold qualified teacher status
• be a highly motivated and successful practitioner
• be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the college, including extra-curricular activities
• have a passion for languages
• have the ability to apply a range of teaching strategies that motivate and encourage children to want to learn
• be able to deliver lessons that inspire children to succeed
• have a detailed knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
• have a commitment to the pursuit of excellence in education standards.

We are a British international school, and all of our lessons are taught in English. A high standard of written and spoken English is, therefore, essential. Applicants should be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school vision, including co-curricular activities.
