Job overview
Come and join us!
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, qualified and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our enthusiastic Primary team. This is a full-time, term time only position starting September 2024.
At Derby High, Teaching Assistants work alongside the classroom teacher, providing support and reinforcement through working with individual pupils or small groups of pupils. The objective of this role is to maximise the functioning of each pupil under the direction of the teacher.
Applicants are asked to complete the schools application form.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and we may close recruitment early if we receive sufficient applications. We recommend that applications are submitted early in order to avoid disappointment. Interviews may be held ahead of the closing date.
Closing date: Friday 14th June 2024.
Salary: £17,780 - £19,800 depending on experience.
The school has rigorous safeguarding and child protection procedures in place and applicants will be required to undertake child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children
