The Opportunity

Set in 90 acres of Suffolk parkland, Old Buckenham Hall is one of the country’s oldest and most beautiful preparatory schools. Since 1862, it has provided children with a rigorous curriculum and unparalleled co-curricular opportunities, all underpinned by an outstanding system of pastoral care. A co-educational school for children aged 2 to 13, OBH serves a boarding and day community that go on attend some of the most aspirational senior schools in the UK, many having achieved scholarships. Regular destinations include Eton, Radley, Benenden, Oundle, Uppingham and Rugby, as well schools in East Anglia.

OBH is looking to appoint a talented and committed individual to the role of Rugby Coach on a fixed-term basis. The successful candidate will be expected to take a leading role in the coaching of U11 and U13 boys’ rugby, including the boys’ First Team, and should have considerable experience in this area. OBH’s Sports Department has enjoyed significant success in recent years and is entering into an exciting period of development. Recent successes include being crowned U13 Hockey County Champions, gold medals at IAPS Swimming, hosting the East Anglian Cross-Country Championships, and being named LTA Tennis School of The Year.

Working hours:

Monday – 14:00 – 16:20

Tuesday – 14:00 – 16:20

Wednesday – 14:00 – 16:20 (flexible, depending on home/away matches)

Start date: Monday 9th September

End date: Wednesday 11th December
