Saxophone Tutor – King Henry VIII Senior School

Teaching – Self-employed – 6 hours per week with room for expansion

We are looking to appoint a Saxophone Tutor, with the ability to teach pupils throughout the school, from Years 3 to 13. You will be based at King Henry VIII School. 

 

We are currently looking for a day of teaching and the running of an ensemble. There is considerable room for expansion of both teaching and ensembles for a candidate with the right skillset and approach. 

 

King Henry VIII School has a thriving music department with over 20 ensembles rehearsing each week and instrumental lessons offered in the full orchestral and popular range. We run regular international summer tours, along with trips, take over 450 performers to give a biennial gala concert in the Butterworth Hall on the Warwick University campus, and perform in Coventry’s historic cathedral.

About King Henry VIII School

We are a leading co-educational day school, providing a diverse range of opportunities for young people, from 11 to 18. We serve as the direct feeder school to King Henry VIII Junior School (HMC 3-11).

The school is located on the south side of Coventry, minutes from the railway station and with excellent access to motorways and bus routes.

Staff are all well-qualified and enthusiastic, and have high expectations of themselves and their pupils. We received another outstanding inspection report in May 2023. The school has a strong reputation for pastoral care, and teaching staff are committed to co-curricular activities. Generous fee remission for the children of permanent staff is available at all Foundation schools (from age 3) subject to a minimum number of hours worked. There is an excellent and loyal support staff, who understand their vital role in contributing to pupils’ growth and achievements. All staff benefit from free membership of our on-site Sports Club.
