Due to succession planning, we are seeking to appoint a talented and experienced School Business Manager. Reporting to the Head Teacher, you will be responsible for taking a strategic lead in the development, design, organisation and monitoring of the support services within the School including management of the School and PFI provider interface.
You will be accountable for budget negotiations, budgetary control and compliance; research and make recommendations regarding the strategic development of the School and line management of staff, including commissioning and delegation of relevant activities.
Key duties include:
• Lead on Finance: the financial management of the School, Plan, prepare, monitor and evaluate budgets and future years budget planning
• Provide a range of financial and budgetary information as required
• Identify and maximize income generation
• HR, Marketing & School Administration
• Lead and manage Administrative, Site, IT and Cover staff
• Facilities/Health & Safety
• Oversee the maintenance of the school site and the buildings
• Work to ensure that the maximum benefits of the PFI are realised
With previous experience within a school or business environment, you will hold a School Business Management qualification at degree level or equivalent; possess extensive budgeting/accountancy experience and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This is a highly visible and challenging role in which the successful applicant will possess natural leadership skills enabling you to get the best from your team.
