We are seeking a Cultural Liaison School Officer to fulfil a part-time fixed term contract for Semester 2, 2021.
You will engage with students of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds to support their attendance, engagement and literacy and numeracy outcomes.
You will have:
• Demonstrated connection to culture and community
• Demonstrated ability to engage with, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, families/carers and communities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to be self-motivated in a busy school environment
• An ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with students, staff, families and other professionals

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required: 2 days (12 hrs/week) - days negotiable
Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate: School Officer Level 4 - $32.23 per hour (annualised - $26.03 per hour)
Employment Conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
