Opportunity

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Administrator to join our expanding team and work alongside the School Business Manager to aid the smooth running of the school. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new venture in a school that will grow with you. You will be a part of the Brand-New School set up. It is an opportunity for you to help shape the provision and develop the school to be the best that it can be.

 

Job Summary

As the Senior Administrator you will be leading the administration function for the school. The work you do impacts on all areas of the organisation. You are therefore expected to work collaboratively, professionally, and effectively with all areas of the school as appropriate.

 

Key Duties

  • Administration – Provide an efficient and effective administrative service to the school team.
  • Pupil Administration – Manage and deliver a thorough and accurate administration support service to the Pastoral Team/Assistant Head & Head teacher.
  • Human Resources Administration – Provide assistance to the School Business Manager and Central HR teams with recruitment, probationary reviews, performance reviews, appraisals and arranging team CPD bookings.
  • Business and General Admin Duties – Manage the schools business administration function and deliver timely reports and meet compliance deadlines.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in administrative role ideally to include HR and Pupil administration and/or within an educational or care environment.
  • Computer literacy essential, particularly in Microsoft Office.
  • Accurate typing and Minute taking.
  • Organised and have good time management.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and multi-task.
  • High level of interpersonal ability with excellent written and verbal communication

 

Aurora Rowan School

Part of the Aurora Group, Aurora Rowan School in Tokers Green, Reading, Berkshire is due to open in November 2024, supporting young people aged 6 -16 with a diagnosis of Autism spectrum disorder, moderate to Severe Learning needs and associated difficulties, who require an individualised, specialist approach.
