You, like us, will share our belief in the highest standards of academic attainment in a comprehensive setting. We are therefore seeking to recruit an inspirational, professional and highly skilled Senior Lead Practitioner of Mathematics or English. You will have experience of developing and delivering an excellent curriculum within these subjects and will be able to coach other teachers within the school to enhance their pedagogy and practice. You will be cognisant of current best practice and want to foster in others a research-based to their lesson delivery. 

You will deliver lessons to a consistently high standard and you will have a proven track record of excellent outcomes at GCSE and A level.

This role will provide opportunities for leadership development including secondment to the Leadership Group. Applicants from a GMH background are strongly encouraged with the school actively involved in the Church of England’s ‘Leaders Like Us’ programme.

As part of the school’s Lead Practitioner team, you will report to the Deputy Headteacher (Academic) and will be responsible for the development of Teaching and Learning across the school. The successful candidate will be required to teach a variety of key stages and abilities within Mathematics or English whilst undertaking the role of Lead Practitioner.

Westminster City School is a successful 11-18 Christian non-denominational comprehensive academy for boys with a rapidly growing mixed sixth form.
