Our Roman Catholic, Salesian school, in the heart of Battersea, strives to ensure that all its young people are given the opportunity and support they need to achieve their best, fulfil their true potential and go out into the world confident and ready to ‘earn their own bread’.
The Governors are seeking to recruit a Pastoral Lead, who will initiate and lead high quality programmes to develop and improve the wellbeing, attendance, learning and behaviour of pupils at St John Bosco College. This is a non-teaching role.

The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in a committed team and make a real impact on the outcomes of our pupils.
As a Sixth Form Pastoral Lead you will:
- implement the whole school behaviour policy
- support student attendance being at or above 95%
- promote student wellbeing
- provide specialist safeguarding support
- liaise with students, parents and professionals as appropriate
- provide 1-1 and small group mentoring for students
- provide targeted support work for parents facing challenges with their children
- work with colleagues across the school to support pupil welfare
- show commitment in ensuring that all students in the school are supported to achieve their best
- deliver excellent administrative duties efficiently to ensure the smooth running of the Sixth Form
- provide practical support as and when required
· take part in pupil supervision in designated communal areas
· promote the school’s distinctive Catholic Salesian Ethos
- be fully supportive of the school’s Roman Catholic ethos and able to contribute to the wider life of the school
