The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Sports Enrichment Assistant to join the Sport & PE department, within an outstanding Sixth Form College. This role involves supporting staff and students in reaching the highest standards possible. Offering a full extracurricular programme enriching the student experience through performance and recreational sporting opportunities.

We seek a charismatic and enthusiastic team player for this exciting and rewarding post within our Sport and PE department. As a long-standing and very successful provider of Sport and PE and competitive sports this post would benefit an individual from a wide ranging sports background, coaching background or a sports graduate.

We are a leader in the delivery of Cambridge Technical Sport (single and double awards) and A Level PE, equipping our young people for the next stage of their lives. We offer a full extracurricular programme enriching the student experience through performance and recreational sporting opportunities. These opportunities allow students to compete at local, regional and national level. Meaningful employer engagement, volunteering and work experience opportunities further prepare students for their educational and sporting future. We seek charismatic, enthusiastic and suitably qualified teachers for this exciting and rewarding post.

The Prospect Trust is a leading Multi-Academy Trust in the South of England, with an aim of providing outstanding education for all learners within a family of local academies. There are currently three academies within the Trust: The Sixth Form College Farnborough, Tomlinscote School and Frimley Church of England Junior School.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sport & PE Team within an outstanding Sixth Form College. We are seeking a proactive individual to provide an excellent level of support to both staff and students in the College.

The Sixth Form College Farnborough is a sixth form college located in the town of the same name, in Hampshire. Since September 2017, The College has been part of The Prospect Trust, a multi-academy trust. The College had originally been a grammar school founded in 1936, becoming a full sixth form college in 1992. The college is co-educational, with over 3900 students aged 16-19. Since its establishment as a sixth form, the college has undergone extensive redevelopment and modernisation, and as a result can boast of a wide range of high-quality teaching and recreational facilities such as a brand-new purpose-built teaching block opened in 2010 containing teaching facilities for physics, electronics and photography among others. Around a third of the students at the college are on mixed programmes of study combining A levels and vocational courses. The college offers 33 A-level courses, with the largest being in psychology and mathematics. Of the 11 vocational courses, the largest are in criminology and business.
