Job overview
We are looking for outstanding individuals to provide support and coordinate bespoke interventions for identified and targeted students who are facing difficulties in school. The purpose of these interventions, both internal and external, is to help these students overcome their barriers to learning and fully engage with lessons to become more effective learners, and to ensure our students leave is as well rounded citizens who can contribute to society.
The purpose of the Student Welfare Lead role is:
· To ensure students are making good progress by offering targeted intervention support following discussion and agreement with the Head of Student Welfate and the Head of Year
· To assume the role of a key worker for students identified and ensure they have an individual support plan
· To be the point of contact for key areas of responsibility and provide support intervention, feedback and guidance in this area to raise awareness Eg. Young carers, LGBTQ+, Mental Health, KS2-3, KS4-5 Transition
