Hours:          37 hours per week, term time only

Contract:    Fixed term until 31st August 2025

You will be employed by the Gosforth Group and may need to work across all locations within the Multi Academy Trust as required.

About the Academy

Come to work in a thriving community. Great Park Academy is a growing school committed to providing the very best education for pupils from Year 5 to Year 11. The school opened in September 2021 on a temporary site at Gosforth Academy. We will move to a brand new 1200 capacity school building in 2025 which will be situated in the Great Park area of Newcastle.

We are one of two new schools within the Gosforth Group Multi Academy Trust and will be welcoming our new cohorts of students when the position starts meaning that we will have Years 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. This is a wonderful opportunity for a dynamic, creative Learning Support Assistant to help shape the future of our school.

 

About the role

 We are seeking a committed professional to join our successful Student Support Base within our school. You will work as part of a multi-professional team to provide general educational support for students. This will include support with learning and also with behaviour and attendance issues as appropriate.


What we are looking for

· Experience/Desire to work with students with SEND

· Can demonstrate a good understanding of Social, Emotional or Mental Health difficulties (SEMH) that young people face

· Effective communication and organisational skills

· A sympathetic understanding of broad needs of students ages 9-16

· Experience of working with young people
