The Trust is seeking to appoint an ambitious main scale teacher who will join a team of excellent practitioners at Blowers Green.  This is a part time position, working three days per week, days of the week are flexible and can be discussed at interview. The Trust offers a wide range of career development opportunities which could, for the right candidate, lead to moving into a cross Trust leadership role.

Blowers Green Primary School is an average size school at the heart of its community. It has a single form per year, with 30 pupils in each year group. The school also has a 26 place Nursery Unit within the Early Years Foundation Stage. Dudley Academies Trust was formed in September 2017 under the sponsorship of Dudley College of Technology. Our Trust schools are St James Academy, The Link Academy, Pegasus Academy, Beacon Hill Academy, Blowers Green Primary and Kates Hill Primary. The Trust when combined with the sponsor, annually supports 8,500 young people aged 4 to 19 years old and employs almost 1,300 staff.

The Trust recognises that our staff are our most valuable asset and investing in our people is a key strategic priority for the Trust. A common and extensive programme of staff development operates across the Trust, this is extended to senior and middle leaders, aspiring leaders, teaching and support staff and non-qualified teachers.

You will be joining the Trust at an exciting time as we are continuing our journey to provide a first-class education for the young people of Dudley, with outstanding teaching and learning being the Trust’s foremost priority.

Closing date – Monday 20th May at midnight - we reserve the right to close this vacancy earlier than the date advertised.

The school continues to be one of the highest performing and most successful schools in Dudley, having been judged as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted twice in succession and most recently in 2022. Inspectors commented that “Leaders demand and deliver the very best opportunities for pupils at Blowers Green. They ‘dream big’ for, and on behalf of, all their pupils”. For many years, results at Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 have been significantly above national benchmarks in all subjects.

The learning environment at the school is inspirational and a unique feature of Blowers Green is its Art Gallery and Museum, with pupils acting as curators of the exhibits.

Like all of the schools within Dudley Academies Trust, Blowers Green benefits from a comprehensive range of support from the Trust’s Central Team, covering everything from Teaching & Learning to Estates Management, IT, Safeguarding and Staff Development.
