TEACHER OF COMPUTER SCIENCE (FULL TIME, PERMANENT) September 2024

Main/Upper Pay Scale. A recruitment and retention incentive may be available for an exceptional candidate.

North Kesteven Academy is a well regarded, supportive environment with enthusiastic learners. Situated on the edge of the Cathedral City of Lincoln, the school offers a relentless focus on academic excellence and progress coupled with outstanding performing arts and sports facilities.

This post offers a fantastic opportunity to join our committed team of professionals. The Academy is striving to deliver excellence in its Computer Science teaching, and is committed to improving progress and outcomes in the subject.  We seek a motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic practitioner to add value to our team in driving progress, outcomes, and the learning experience.   The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and an understanding of how to ensure all students make good and outstanding progress. Of most importance will be your ability to generate engagement and a love of computing for all learners. A small amount of technology may be included in the timetable and so an ability to offer additional subjects in that area would be an advantage.

We are delighted to offer pre-application visits to the Academy. Please email enquiries@nkacademy.co.uk for an appointment.

To apply please use the TES online form, or visit our website www.nkacademy.co.uk, or telephone (01522) 881010. Closing date is Tuesday 28th May at 12 noon. Interviews will be held on Thursday 30th and Friday 31st May.

Values and vision

We are exceptionally proud of our academy and our vibrant community of students, parents, staff and governors who work together to provide an engaging learning environment where our young people can flourish.

We encourage all our students to achieve excellence in all that they do.  We provide real support for growth, development and ambition, based on our core culture of "NK Cares". This is designed to help students and families break the boundaries of what we "can do" to make what we "aspire to do" a reality.

Our aim is to produce confident well rounded individuals and in addition to all the traditional academic subjects vocational subjects, performing arts and PE are all well represented in our curriculum with excellent facilities.

For our staff, our welcome is warm and you will be joining a friendly team of committed professionals who have high expectations of themselves and their students.  The Academy is committed to promoting and developing staff wellbeing and has a superb programme of professional development for every stage of your career.
