Saint George Catholic VA College wishes to invite applications from NQT’s or experienced teachers to teach within the Design and Technology department for September 2018. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented person to join a very supportive team with a new state of the art technology block currently being built covering all the specialisms with brand new equipment.  The department is one of the strongest departments in the college. The college is heavily over-subscribed. It is an exciting time to join the College as we have been a mixed college since September 2013. The college is ranked in the top 4% of schools nationally for progress and top 10 % nationally for attainment.

The successful candidate will have high expectations of their students; have the ability to form productive and respectful relationships with students as well as being able to generate enthusiasm and interest for Design & Technology. The current department has a proven track record of success at GCSE level, with results in 2017 the 2nd highest in Southampton. The successful candidate would be joining a team with many outstanding practices and therefore it would be an ideal position for someone who has the dedication to develop this subject.
