Tes is supporting the appointment of a Teacher of Design Technology to join a High School based in Bromley.

Bromley High School has an exciting opportunity for a talented and well qualified Teacher of Design Technology to join a flourishing DT Department. 

You will plan, prepare and deliver stimulating DT lessons to their A Level students, whilst making an enthusiastic contribution to the activities of the department.

They are looking for a creative, dynamic and inspirational teacher with a track record of excellent teaching in secondary Design Technology, who possesses previous experience of teaching DT to A Level. Experience of food technology and the ability to teach KS3 Art is desirable, but not essential.

About the department 

The Design and Technology department includes two large multifunctional workshops for teaching practical lessons, a dedicated ICT suite, a separate CAM suite with A2+ laser cutter, 3D printer, CNC mill, a vinyl cutter and a preparation room. Specialist CAD software and a cloud-based learning space are supported by staff iPads and class sets of Chrome books. Students actively engage with Design and Technology from the Junior School where they study STEM based activities, onto and throughout Senior School, taking part in STEM challenges, the Arkwright Scholarship programme, and an array of annual design competitions.
