Boston Spa Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Teacher of Drama. This role is of great importance to our work as an Academy with the successful candidate being responsible for teaching and inspiring students to achieve their potential across a range of exciting and evolving subjects. This opportunity is open to both ECTs and Experienced Teachers.

The ideal applicant will have:

Either:

  • A successful placement(s), teaching at KS3 & KS4 (applicants currently in training)

or:

  • A successful record of teaching with very good exam results at one or more of KS3 & KS4 (applicants who already have gained QTS.
  • A detailed knowledge of current developments in education including the use of the Pupil Premium.
  • The ability to put vision into practice.

Boston Spa Academy in Boston Spa, Wetherby, West Yorkshire, is a mixed, secondary school for children aged 11-18. The school, which opened in 1973, has around 1,430 students of which 190 attend the growing sixth form. In September 2018, Boston Spa Academy officially joined the highly successful and nationally renowned GORSE trust. As a direct impact of working with colleagues at TGAT the academy has moved from being a school with average performance to one which is now well above the national average.
