A fantastic opportunity to work in an outstanding department . We are seeking to appoint a passionate and dynamic teacher for September 2021, to teach Drama across all key stages. Ideal candidates would be willing to teach another subject up to at least KS3, ideally Music.

This role would suit an NQT who would be supported as they start their career or someone seeking the next step  of their career.

Our recent Ofsted  in February 2020 rated the College ‘Good’ in all areas.

The successful candidate would be a dynamic teacher who is passionate about their subject(s).   They would also be committed to raising the achievements of our students. You will be joining a strong, enthusiastic, subject specialist team with a track record of success:

• Ranked 25th Nationally of all Non-Selective Boys School for Progress 8 with P8 consistently above zero.

• A Peter Jones Business Academy (part of a select group of schools nationally) providing exclusive resources, courses and competitions that enable all our students throughout the College to develop skills needed to be successful in their future lives.

• Free use for staff of swimming and modern gym facilities

The Drama department is growing in popularity and is key to the cultural enrichment of our students.  recently reintroduced to the curriculum the department is offering courses at all Key Stages.  an ideal candidate will be willing to contribute to other areas of the Creative and Performing Arts faculty.

The successful applicant will be passionate about their subject, be well organised and willing to go the “extra mile” to ensure pupils achieve.

We are looking for applicants who are highly motivated and ready to contribute to helping the College as we continue to build on our academic success.

St Joseph’s College is one of the oldest boys Catholic Schools in the South with over 163 years of History.  A successful 11-18 Boys’ School (Girls in the 6th Form) situated on the Croydon/Lambeth border, we are ambitious and dynamic with our eyes firmly placed on the future.
