St Anne’s RC Voluntary Academy has recently joined the Emmaus Catholic Academy Trust, so this is an exciting time for the school. Importantly, this is a fantastic opportunity for a suitably qualified English teacher, who can teach KS3 and KS4, to join our Outstanding English Department (Progress 8 0.31 in 2023). The successful candidate will be driven, motivated and most of all, passionate about their subject area and an excellent classroom practitioner who can inspire and motivate students and other staff.
In addition, this role is responsible for strategically leading the school improvement plan on whole school reading and literacy. The successful candidate will work alongside curriculum leaders to ensure literacy is taught in all subjects whilst ensuring that appropriate interventions are in place to ensure all students are able to read fluently with in dept understanding. The successful candidate will have a full understanding of how reading is the gateway to learning and is passionate about making a difference at St. Anne’s.
As a key position in our school, we are looking for an exceptional candidate who can lead by example and inspire subject staff to have literacy and reading at the heart of all they do.
