Teacher of Fine Art – 0.8FTE Permanent

Come and join our outstanding Creative Arts Department!

This presents a fantastic opportunity to join our dynamic Creative Arts department. We are privileged to offer a diverse range of courses, encompassing Fine Art, Graphics, 3D Design, Textiles, and Photography. The new team member will primarily deliver A Level and CTEC qualifications, with potential to expand into GCSE and Level Three Foundation Art, Design, and Media in the future. Supported by three dedicated technicians, our department boasts ample resources, fostering an environment where students can explore and create exciting work.

Located across two floors alongside Science and the recently renovated Allied Health, our department exudes an 'art school' ambiance. Many of our students study multiple creative courses, reflecting their enthusiasm and engagement. They are motivated, friendly, and deeply appreciative of the opportunities we provide. In addition to their curriculum, we actively aim to provide experiences to enrich their cultural capital and broader skill set, from residential trips to visits by industry professionals. We are dedicated to preparing our students for life beyond college.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated individual to join our positive and supportive team. The role involves teaching Fine Art to Year 1 and Year 2 students at A Level and CTEC (familiarity with these courses is desirable but not essential). We are looking for someone who is deeply passionate about the subject, has a good sense of humour and enjoys working as part of a team, is capable of consistently delivering high-quality results, and adept at inspiring and motivating students to achieve outstanding outcomes.

In return, we offer the opportunity to shape the development of our subject within the College, making a significant impact in our students' lives. You'll enjoy the challenge and stimulation of collaborating with dedicated educators and exceptional students.

The College has excellent in-house training programs for Early Career Teachers and aspiring leaders, ongoing CPD opportunities in-house, part of ACT and externally, and we would support individuals who would be taking their first steps into teaching. The college offers a wide variety of benefits for staff, including free parking, on site catering facilities, TPS pensions and access to a wide variety of locally agreed discounts.

Salary: Teacher PT 1-9 (£30,500-£47,133) Suitable for Early Career Teaching, depending on qualifications and experience.
