We are seeking a Teacher of Fine Art who has a passion to take this subject to the next level and inspire the future generation of artists. You must have an impressive knowledge of fine art with a focus on painting and drawing.

As a standalone academy, we believe in our teachers being able to do the role they are employed to do, which is to deliver engaging lessons to our students. We therefore have an easy and structured behaviour system for our students and you to follow in lessons. After this, we have dedicated teams who intervene and leave you to continue with the job you love doing!


Our Head of Expressive Arts would be delighted to take you on a tour of the academy and give you the opportunity to meet the department and answer any questions you may have. 

 

As Teacher of Fine Art, you will be welcomed into an experienced team of professionals to:

·                    Progress the expressive arts department to even greater successes

·                    Plan and deliver high quality and engaging lessons that will challenge and inspire our students

·                    Encourage students to have high expectations of themselves and their behaviour

·                    Engage students in study at GCSE Level (A-Level is desirable)

·                    Be a positive role model and supportive mentor to students, making a lasting impact on their lives

The Bishop of Winchester Academy, based in Bournemouth, Dorset, is a Church of England secondary school that prides itself on its curriculum, governance and outstanding student behaviour. Students aged 11-18 experience teaching in new state-of-the-art buildings and have first-class resources at their fingertips. The school operates in an area where there are schools that select for entry on grounds of ability.

The mixed secondary school was opened in September 2010 as a sponsor-led academy. In September 2014, the Bishop of Winchester Academy extended its educational opportunities by opening its own sixth form.
