The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for committed teachers of French to further their career at an innovative British curriculum co-educational school in Shenzhen, opening in August 2018.
The successful candidate will have an outstanding record of teaching across the secondary age range, from Year 7 to GCE A Level, IB Diploma or equivalent level in a similar international curriculum. An ability to offer a second language might be an advantage.
A position of responsibility may be available to a suitably qualified person.
Merchiston Castle International School
MCIS will offer an innovative British independent school curriculum for international students aged 5 – 18, starting in Key Stage 1 and culminating in IGCSE and GCE A Level. The campus, inspired by the ethos of Merchiston Castle, Edinburgh, is designed to create the kind of innovative learning spaces in which an effective 21st century education can take place.

Short-listed candidates must be able to provide a recent DBS/PVG check, police clearance certificate or similar record of non-criminality demonstrating that there is no reason why they cannot work with children.

Due to national regulations, it is very unlikely that we will be able to secure a work permit or visa for foreign nationals whose 60th or subsequent birthdays take place between August 1 2018 and July 31 2019.

Interviews of short-listed candidates will be held in the UK and Ireland from Monday December 4 to Monday December 11. In certain circumstances, short listed candidates living outside of the UK and Ireland may be invited to interview by Skype if a time can be arranged.
