Job overview

Broomwood Prep-Boys (formerly Northcote Lodge), a boys' day prep school close to the heart of London, has great facilities, comradery in the common room and, most importantly, children who want to learn. The school benefits from being part of the wider community of Dukes Education with a wide variety of development opportunities available for all colleagues.

We have an opportunity for an outstanding teacher of geography to join us from Autumn 2024. This is an opportunity either for a colleague who wishes to focus primarily on teaching geography (possibly with other subjects) or for a someone who wishes to move into a Leadership role, combining their teaching with broader areas of responsibility across the school: we invite candidates with either ambition. You will need a passion for your subject and a desire to stimulate enthusiasm for geography in the boys. Ideally, you will have Key Stage 3 experience in order support boys' transition to senior school.

Situated on the edge of Wandsworth Common, we offer a salary scale that is above the maintained sector, an excellent pension scheme (10 % Employer’s contribution), subsidised private health care and the opportunity for CPD and internal progression.

Full details of the position are provided in the attached Candidate Information and are also available on the school’s websitewww.broomwood.com

A covering letter along with a completed application form (which can be downloaded from the website), should be sent, by the closing date of 4th June 2024 at 09:00 am,

to:

Broomwood is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. As all roles within the school involve some degree of child safeguarding responsibility, safeguarding checks will be undertaken including an enhanced CRB check for the successful applicant.
