About Hautlieu School

Hautlieu is a truly unique and special place where all students are nurtured, challenged and supported to achieve their very best, and we pride ourselves on our calm and focussed learning environment which is evident from the first moment you step through our front door.

Our students continue to achieve outstanding examination results.  In 2024 at GCSE level 91.7% of students achieved 5 or more GCSEs, including English and Maths at grades 9 to 4, and at A Level 67.9% of grades were at A*-C.  It is incredibly important to recognise the hard work of our students along with the relentless support of staff, parents and carers in achieving these outcomes, and it is the strong link between all members of the Hautlieu community which enable our students to leave us either securing their first choice of university or commencing exciting careers in a range of settings.

However, the Hautlieu community is about so much more than our long tradition of academic success:  We are relentless in our pursuit to prepare students for the world beyond our school and cherish every opportunity to nurture their individual development through extensive charity work, cultural exploration and moral debate.  We also recognise the unique but challenging journey for young people between the ages of 14 and 18 and have an experienced Student Support team who work tirelessly to ensure that every student is included and supported during their time with us.

Ultimately, our school motto Summa Petamus, which means ‘aim for the highest’ is at the heart of all of our work – please contact us directly to find out more about what this could mean for you and the next steps in your career.
