Maiden Erlegh Trust require a French Teacher able to teach from Year 7 to A-Level, and candidates who can also display an ability to teach some Spanish and or German to Key Stage 4 would be considered favourably. For the right candidate, an uplift may be awarded for taking a lead role in assuring quality of teaching across three foreign languages.
You will join an enthusiastic and committed department and the role will predominantly be based at Maiden Erlegh School, Earley but you may be required to take some classes in our new free school, Maiden Erlegh School in Reading, just over one mile away.

Requirements
In addition to the requirements of a main scale/UPR teacher (as appropriate):
- To contribute to the collective ethos of the school and Trust by requiring the highest professional standards from colleagues and attitudes and behaviour from students.
- To model high impact, quality first teaching, learning and assessment.
- To provide high quality leadership and management of the quality of teaching, learning and assessment in an allocated subject/group of subjects, adopting and modelling a positive and solution focused approach to work, which puts maximising students’ life chances first.
- To ensure effective and robust implementation of school and Trust policies.
- To ensure that all students, in all classes and regardless of starting points, have a consistent and high quality learning experience: they are challenged, enthused and supported as necessary.
- To liaise with colleagues across the school and Trust as required.
- To carry out such other associated duties as are reasonably assigned by the Headteacher or their delegate.
