Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and engaging Teacher of Music from September 2024.

Applications will be considered from both experienced teachers and those who are newly qualified. Salary will be commensurate with the experience of the successful candidate. We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative practitioner to join this well-established faculty. The ability to teach students aged 11-18 is essential. The ability to teach another subject would be an advantage. Involvement in the extra-curricular life of the school is a requirement of the role.

Ruthin School has a strong academic record which is attained through teaching that challenges and supports in equal measure. This is supplemented with first-class pastoral care and a broad range of elective activities which allow students to develop the skills to succeed in their studies and prepare for the world of work. Our students are high achieving, polite, attentive and self-motivated.

The school is located in a beautiful part of the country, set on the edge of the charming, historic town of Ruthin and at the foot of the Clwydian Range (an area of outstanding natural beauty). We are 35 minutes from Chester and Wrexham. Whilst we enjoy a rural setting, we are only an hour from Manchester and Liverpool to the East and close to the coast and Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park to the West.

For more information about our school and this superb opportunity please visit the school website on www.ruthinschool.co.uk

Closing date for applications: midday on 09th May 2024

Interviews, at Ruthin School: 16th May 2024

Ruthin School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and all applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the position, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
