We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher of Science to teach across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. This is an excellent opportunity for any Science teacher who has a real passion for teaching and learning and making sure students achieve their absolute best. Holyrood Academy is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary with sixth form in Chard, Somerset. As of the most recent inspection there were 1,229 students on the school roll, of which 146 were studying in the sixth form. The town of Chard has a population of 13,000, and is 15 miles southwest of Yeovil on the A30 road. Holyrood has a reputation for district success in sports, particularly in Rugby and Football.

Holyrood Academy's Music Department has an inspirational extra-curricular programme for students to participate in. As well as the whole school choir, there is also a more specialised Chamber Choir, which together with the Swing Band and Orchestra, the students have entertained parents and the community locally, nationally and internationally on their music tours to destinations such as France, Ireland and The Netherlands.
