We are looking to appoint a passionate teacher who is an excellent classroom practitioner who is committed to providing the very best outcomes for all of our student and keen to make a real difference as part the PE Department.

Candidates must be able to teach across the ability and age range, with high-quality PE delivered from Y7-Y13. PE is an extremely popular subject at Derby Moor Spencer Academy with a significant number of students studying examination PE & Sport in Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. We also have an extensive extra-curricular programme at Derby Moor Spencer Academy that we are extremely proud.  

We have fantastic facilities at our disposal which include a Sports Hall, Dance Studio, Fitness Suite, Gymnasium, Astroturf pitch, MUGA (2x Basketball courts and a football court) Outdoor Tennis Courts, Outdoor Netball courts and extensive playing fields.

The post is open to both experienced and newly qualified teachers committed to raising levels of achievement for all students, regardless of background. We strongly recommend you take the opportunity to visit the school before submitting an application.

We are seeking to appoint an individual who:

  • Has the ability and desire to contribute positively to the wider school community
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire others
  • Has the ability to teach PE across the age range from KS3 to KS5
