Salary: £24,264 - £27,517 (potential TLR for suitable candidate)
Accrington Academy, in partnership with Peel Park Primary School is delighted to offer a unique opportunity for an inspirational teacher.
Peel Park is an outstanding primary school. Accrington Academy is a popular and oversubscribed 11-18 secondary school. As well as being geographical neighbours, we share a passion for ensuring creative and engaging educational experiences. We are looking for a colleague who shares our passion and vision and whole-heartedly believes that our students will achieve everything they are capable of.
As a transition teacher, you will be required to bring learning to life in a dynamic, entertaining and original context. You will initially have an unparalleled opportunity to develop your practice in an outstanding primary setting. Like our students, your experiences will then grow into supporting transition and teaching at Accrington Academy.

In March 2015 OFSTED identified that we were a ‘good’ school. The cornerstone of our success is that students enjoy school. “Students’ attitudes to learning are positive. Students want to do well at the academy”. – OFSTED MARCH 2015
We have developed a culture of “hard work” and “dedication” from our students and staff alike, where high expectations and a desire for success are standard and everyone is proud to belong to Accrington Academy.
We believe that everyone at the academy can be outstanding and we seek to draw out the full potential in everyone. We do this by instilling the following values in all our students:
