This is a new and exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to join a dynamic and forward looking senior management team and to play a key strategic role in our vision to become and sustain outstanding.

You will lead on strategies to ensure every student and apprentice maximises their full potential, supporting the college’s vision to be recognised as an outstanding education business, delivering outstanding services to the communities we serve.

The postholder will also lead on delivery of outstanding customer services with a ”business focused” ethos, implementation of lifelong learning; develop interactions, actions and services which secure students and apprentices, engaging them to learn, develop and progress to the best of their ability within work and life.

We were recognised as being ‘Good’ in all areas of our Ofsted inspection in 2013 with some outstanding features. We are ambitious for our students and have established a ladder of opportunity with the possibility of progression in every sector subject area in order to increase life chances, enhance career prospects and improve social mobility.

The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified and highly experienced senior leader with a proven track record of developing strategies to successfully grow student numbers and income. We are looking for someone who will provide inspirational leadership to ensure that we maintain our values and have our strategic objectives consistently in view.

Chesterfield College is a highly successful and vibrant College based in North Derbyshire with excellent pass rates and high student success levels. Our location is key to our success in attracting  students from north and south Derbyshire, Buxton, Derby and South Yorkshire and Sheffield. Our free College buses make Chesterfield College a highly accessible and affordable choice for over 8,000 full, part time or HE students every year.

We have over 700 courses to choose from catering for a wide range of learners including foundation courses, A Levels, Apprenticeships, vocational (work related) and professional qualifications, diplomas and degrees. Many of our students go onto to University, further study or straight in to work.
