This is a significant leadership opportunity for a proven practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality 16–19 education and who understands the importance of curriculum excellence, inclusion, learner achievement and meaningful progression pathways.

We are looking for a leader who combines strategic clarity with operational precision and who is committed to improving opportunities of our students through ambitious, inclusive education.

The Role

As Curriculum Manager, you will provide both strategic and operational leadership across Level 1–3 BTEC programmes in Sport, Public Services, Business and ICT.

You will be accountable for ensuring that:

  • The curriculum is ambitious, coherently sequenced and designed to meet the needs of all learners.

  • Teaching, learning and assessment secure strong progress, high achievement and sustained improvement.

  • Disadvantaged learners and those with additional needs are exceptionally well supported and achieve in line with their peers.

  • Provision is responsive to local, regional and national skills priorities, with strong employer and industry engagement.

  • Staff are developed through high-quality professional development, clear performance expectations and supportive line management.

  • Attendance, behaviour, safeguarding and personal development are embedded as core strengths of the provision.

  • Learners progress successfully to higher education, apprenticeships or sustained employment.

The role includes teaching up to 12 hours per week, including tutoring responsibilities, ensuring continued direct impact on learners and modelling of excellent classroom practice.

The Candidate

We are seeking an experienced leader who:

  • Has a demonstrable track record of raising standards and improving outcomes in 16–19 education.

  • Understands curriculum intent, implementation and impact, and can articulate this with clarity.

  • Champions inclusion, equity and high expectations for every learner.

  • Uses data intelligently to inform strategic decisions and close achievement gaps.

  • Leads with integrity, accountability and professional generosity.

  • Can evidence strong performance across curriculum quality, learner achievement, leadership and contribution to skills development.

This role would suit:

  • An established Curriculum Manager seeking a new challenge within a forward-thinking college; or

  • An ambitious senior middle leader ready to lead at scale and make a measurable impact.

Why Join H6?

Haringey Sixth Form College is a thriving, ambitious institution with a clear focus on excellence and life-changing education.

We offer:

  • A highly competitive salary (H30–H38)

  • A visible, influential leadership role with whole-college impact

  • A collaborative and supportive senior leadership team

  • Minimum 20% PPA allocation for teaching staff

  • A teacher-friendly marking policy

  • Free onsite parking and EV charging

  • High-quality internal and external professional development

  • Opportunities to contribute to wider professional learning communities

  • A clear and supported pathway for further leadership progression

This one-year fixed-term post offers a genuine opportunity to shape provision, strengthen outcomes and leave a lasting legacy within a dynamic and aspirational college community.
