French Teacher (with Spanish)

This is an exciting opportunity join a forward-thinking, dynamic school that provides high-quality learning

and teaching to children of British and other international families in the heart of Tokyo.

This role is for an August 2022 start.

We require:

• In liaison with, and under guidance from, the Faculty Leader and other subject teachers, plan and teach French lessons and units of work at Key Stages 2 and 3, Key Stage 4.

• The ability to teach Spanish, preferably at least to IGCSE

• Innovative and exciting lesson design and delivery

• Excellent organisation, commitment and work ethic

• High expectations and the ability to effectively differentiate to meet all needs

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• A strong and fully committed team player that is able to adapt and work in an exceptionally busy and successful department.

• Willingness and ability to take on an extensive extra-curricular role.

• A passion for your subject and a genuine care for the well-being of young people.

• Determination and ability to supply the best educational experience in the world

Due to the opening of the new Primary School campus in 2023, the focus of the role will change after the first year of the contract to become a Primary only role based at the new Toranomon campus. Consequently, this position would suit someone who has more Primary School experience and wishes to develop the place of French in the Primary School.
