An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual to join Forest School in the role of part-time Teacher of Geography. We would expect the successful candidate to hit the ground running and be able to seamlessly inherit groups partially through their course of study.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding and inspirational teacher who is able to teach Geography to the highest level, such that all pupils achieve exceptional academic, personal, and social outcomes.

The Geography Department comprises of three full-time teachers and three part-time teachers: all highly experienced. As a collaborative and successful team, we enable Forest pupils to engage with and understand the complexity of the world around them. Geographers at Forest achieve outstanding results at A Level and excellent results at IGCSE.

At GCE A-Level we offer the Cambridge International A Level, and at GCSE the Year 10 and 11 cohort study the Cambridge IGCSE. In Years 10 and 11, students receive 6 x 50-minute lessons per fortnight and the Year 12 and Year 13 students are taught the A Level through 12 lessons equally split between a Human Geography and Physical Geography specialist, respectively.

The Co-Curriculum is a crucial part of the life and learning at Forest. While expecting our pupils to demonstrate a strong work ethic in their timetabled lessons, we also recognise how important it is for both staff and pupils to develop learning outside of the classroom. We ask our pupils to try new things, explore new places, learn new skills and experience real challenge. Visiting a new country, joining a new club or team, or being part of an ensemble or society, is a great way to get the most out of life at Forest.
