Orchard Hill College is a non-residential National Specialist College for adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. We are looking for a Senior Health Care Assistant to provide an effective level of support and healthcare to our students. This will include pushing wheelchairs, operating hoists and other manual handling equipment, accessing the community including hydrotherapy. You will need to assist students with nutrition and hydration needs including administration of gastrostomy feeds and give student medication. You will also be required to write care plans, feed regimes and risk assessments
You must have an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social care, and experience of working, caring or voluntary work with people who have disabilities.
You must be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of safeguarding, have excellent communication and organisational skills, be a team player and be able to assist our students sensitively and safely.
