Cleves is an outstanding, over-subscribed six-form entry KS2 stand-alone academy with an exciting curriculum, a wide range of extracurricular opportunities, and excellent facilities. We are looking for an exceptional leader, who is energetic, dynamic, and a strategic thinker to lead us in our ambition to achieve more.

The successful candidate will need to:

  • be confident in keeping what works and challenging what doesn’t
  • be committed to seeking out evidence based best practice to add to and enhance what Cleves offers
  • work well with trustees to help shape the school’s future strategic direction in the light of Cleves’ needs and the local and national education agendas
  • be fully qualified in best safeguarding practice as the Designated Safeguarding Lead
  • inspire, empower, and motivate the whole school community
  • demonstrate the skills to work collaboratively with all, within school and more widely with infant feeder schools and local secondary schools
  • have a proven track record in leading teaching and learning of the highest quality
  • be committed to supporting the well-being of children and staff
  • have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all
  • be committed to developing staff
  • sustain and develop the inclusive ethos and values of the school
  • be experienced in financial management and HR processes
  • be enthused by our current goals of:
  • building on our existing SEN provision;
  • working with our two feeder schools to create a coherent seven-year primary journey;
  • furthering links with our main secondary school
  • supporting our excellent sporting offer and developing our arts offer to the same level as sport
  • be willing to go the extra mile for the Cleves community.
