Orchard Hill College is an Outstanding Specialist College (Ofsted, November 2019) offering life-changing learning opportunities to young people and adults with a range of special education needs and/or disabilities. Working alongside the Assessments and Placements team, you will liaise with College staff, students, parents, carers, professionals, and visitors to provide decisions regarding the suitability to meet needs and the core funding for student admissions during the consultations/applications process. You will undertake assessments of potential students and conduct screenings of their EHCP and other relevant documents. You will also assist with collection of destination data and the transition programmes for students together with attending events to promote and offer IAG for the college.

The successful candidate will;

·        Have a full understanding of EHCPs

·        Have experience of working within a specialist education setting and understand how to differentiate delivery to meet the needs of students.

·        Demonstrate high level of attention to detail

·        Demonstrate high level of accurate report writing and recording information.

·        Be an excellent communicator, adapting to various ways of communicating according to the audience.
