Humanities/MYP Individuals and Societies Cover and/or English Cover Teacher (Zero hour contract, Living and eligible to work in the Netherlands)

What will you do on a day-to-day basis?

We are seeking enthusiastic professionals with experience of delivering a concept-driven, inquiry-based curriculum, with experience of the International Baccalaureate. The successful applicant will have experience of teaching Individuals and Societies and preferably English, as well. They will have the capability to deliver a high standard of education aligned with the School’s Mission, Vision and Values.

The successful candidate will: 

• Be experienced in teaching Individuals and Societies/Humanities across the whole senior school

• Be an inspiring, challenging, and empowering educational motivator 

• Be enthusiastic to promote a concept-based and inquiry-driven approach to learning 

• Be responsible for collaborating on curriculum design and development 

• Be able to engage, and differentiate for the needs of, students at all levels 

• Be committed to high standards and the promotion of international understanding 

• Be an innovator who is committed to learning and up to date with current research 

• Be visible and approachable, with excellent interpersonal skills and a good sense of humour 

• Be flexible, creative, and resilient

What will you bring to the table?

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications, experience, skills, and attributes: 

• B.A. Degree in Education or other relevant degree with teaching qualification 

• Relevant international teaching experience 

• Excellent fluency in English (verbal and written) 

• An innovator, committed to learning and keeping up to date with current research 

• An inspiring, challenging, and empowering educator 

• Able to demonstrate creativity, compassion and a desire to make a difference in the learning of our children
