Job overview
The Castle @Theale is a brand new provision for students aged 11-19 with SEMH and ASD run by the Castle School. We have newly refurbished building and are looking for an enthusiastic, pro-active Caretaker to work as part of our site team.
You will assist in the maintenance of the school grounds and buildings, provide security for the Theale site and liaise with contractors.
You will be able to juggle priorities, be flexible and have the ability to work within a team. You will be physically fit and able to work under your own initiative.
You will work under the direction of the School Business Manager and the Premises Manager. You will be required to work Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern to fit in with the needs of the school. You must have the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and other staff.

The Castle School caters for children with a variety of complex learning difficulties from the ages of 4 to 19 offering a range of provision for different ages, stages and needs. Our Love Lane and Post-16 sites meet the needs of children and young people with a variety of learning difficulties and disabilities. Our Castle @ Theale site meets the needs of children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
