School Nurse

Repton Dubai is seeking School Nurse to join us for February 2024.

Purpose of the Job:

The School Nurse is the first point of contact for unwell students, parents and staff, and is responsible for providing medical treatment, school-wide tracking and staff training to ensure the school is a safe place for the whole community.

Key Responsibilities*  

• Plan, implement and evaluate health care, ensuring the school health service is responsive to change and development within the school
• Act as a clinical expert and role model participating in the development of school nursing practice
• Participate in staff training in relation to medical treatment and student health care
• Provide first aid or emergency care to the school community
• Provide effective and supportive communications with parents about the students’ condition and nursing care given
• When required, transfers the student to the Accident and Emergency Department of the nearest hospital as per the standard procedure
• Ensure that all medical supplies and equipment needed for first aid and emergency care are available and in working condition in the school clinic
• Administer medicines, and treatments as per the written standing order of the School Medical Officer

Successful candidates will have:  

• DHA License  
• BLS/First Aid certificate 
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certificate, or willing to be trained
• Infectious Disease Control trained
• Excellent written and spoken English, Arabic would beneficial 
• Previous experience in a School, Nursery or working with children 
• At least 2 years UAE experience 
• Pleasant personality with excellent communication and outstanding organisational skills 
• Experience with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

In return, we offer:-  

• Salary AED 8,000 - AED 9,000 subject to status
• Hours 7.15am - 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday, 7.15am - 12.30pm Friday
