Stoke Damerel Primary Academy, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Mealtime Assistant to join the School in April 2023.

Post: Mealtime Assistant

Location: Stoke Damerel Primary Academy, Collingwood Road, Plymouth, PL1 5PA

FTE Salary: NJC Plymouth Grade A, Point 2, £20,441 per annum (pro-rata for part time contract)

Actual Annual Salary: £2,447.60 per annum

Contract Type: Fixed term until 16th April 2024, part-time, term-time only (39 weeks per year)

Contract Hours: 5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, (12.00 pm – 1:00 pm)

About the role

We are looking for a Mealtime Assistant to cover maternity leave who will ensure students are safe, secure and well supervised during lunch time.

You will required to:

  • Encourage the children to eat the meal provided and promote appropriate table manners and behaviour
  • Ensure the safety, welfare and appropriate conduct of pupils during the midday break period in accordance with the practices and procedures of the school
  • Ensure the health, safety, conduct and well-being of all pupils
  • Undertake playground duty, supervising by circulating amongst children
  • Ensure the dining area is kept clean and in a hygienic condition
  • Ensure playground equipment is used and stored properly
