Goosewell Primary Academy is seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to join the School as soon as possible.
Post: Teaching Assistant
Location: Goosewell Primary Academy, Plymouth. PL9 9HD
FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade C, Point 5 – 7, £21,575 - £22,369 per annum, pro-rata for part time contract
Actual Annual Salary: £16,792.03 - £17,410.01 per annum
Contract Type: Fixed term until 25th July 2023, part time; term-time (39 weeks per year)
Contract Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
About the role:
We are seeking to appoint an excellent Teaching Assistant or Graduate aspiring to become a class teacher to work within a school setting. We are looking for candidates that are hardworking, dedicated, and enthusiastic about children’s achievement.
About the successful candidate
We are looking for candidates who have a passion and desire to accelerate the progress and raise the achievement of all our children. Successful candidates will have ideally have experience with or desire to work with SEND children, and knowledge of behaviour management / de-escalation techniques would be beneficial.

The Academy was inspected in December 2019 and received a Good rating: ‘Pupils thrive at Goosewell Primary Academy. They enjoy learning and making friends. Many pupils told inspectors that the school was very friendly and that pupils were kind and well behaved. Pupils learn about the importance of acting respectfully and with empathy for others throughout the curriculum.’
