I have been asked to recruit a teacher for a temporary post in a primary school in the north of Derby. The role is a 0.4 job share teaching on Mondays and Wednesdays each week. It will be in a year 4 class in the school, which is a two form entry; the teacher will have around 25 children in their care.
The school will be great for anyone in the Derby area looking for part time work, or perhaps looking to supplement another job or their retirement. This also allows for a smaller workload than that of a full time teacher as you will only be required to plan for the two days per week that you take and of course only mark the work you have covered. It may be asked of you to cover the other member of staff should they need to take a day off, you also may be asked to do some extra days throughout the year in other areas of the school if you would like.
As this is a long term supply position then the duration of the job has only been listed so far as September to December, however it isn’t uncommon for a school to extend contracts longer than initially stated. Each year also has a Teaching Assistant who is available all week and will assist with the initial transition as well as being on hand throughout the year to help out where necessary. Any long term supply positions that we offer can also be complimented by day to day supply for any other days of the week that a candidate wants to work.

Now is an extremely exciting time to join ABC teachers as we were acquired by TES over Easter 2016; they have chosen to work with 3 agencies throughout the country and ours was one of them. We are also recognised and awarded the Gold Standard by the REC which will give you peace of mind that you are registering with the right agency.
If you register with ABC Teachers, we are so confident about getting you work; we will run you a brand new DBS and once you have fully registered and worked 1 day with us, we will refund you the money. This will save you close to £50! (Subject to terms and conditions)

ABC Teachers are an REC Gold Standard Awarded Education Agency, part of TES. Candidates pay rates are competitive and in line with the AWR policy which means that after a qualifying period, supply teachers can be paid to the comparable scale offered by the school.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. All staff will hold an enhanced DBS disclosure (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you), need to provide professional or academic references and attend a face to face interview. A prohibition from teaching check will be completed for all applicants. Telephone calls to and/or from ABC Teachers may be recorded for training, safeguarding and compliance purposes.
