Job overview
New College Durham is seeking an experienced and highly motivated marketer who will bring expertise in PR, copywriting and event planning. You will join a team of in-house specialists who work together to deliver on the marketing strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the region’s leading colleges, graded as Ofsted Outstanding.
You will be responsible for developing content for our offline and online channels, including creating a consistent tone of voice and ensuring our written content is of the highest quality. This includes proof-reading and quality checking information.
You will support in the planning and execution of college events, including leading on our graduation event which is a key annual milestone in the college calendar. You will enjoy working with staff members from within the marketing team and the wider college to ensure these events are of the highest quality and enhance the reputation of the college.
You will be responsible for managing press activity including developing and distributing press releases, photo-calls and organising press attendance at events. You will develop and maintain a database of press contacts who will help increase awareness of the College locally, regionally and nationally.
