Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a part time 1:1 Learning Assistant (2/3 days) in our Junior School setting based at our Wicken Park campus in rural Northamptonshire, near Milton Keynes.  This is a fixed term post until July 2023 with a view of becoming a permanent contract.

This role will involve supporting a pupil with additional needs, as directed by the Inclusion Lead and Class Teachers, to enhance progress and raise achievement in any curriculum area both inside and outside the classroom. To work closely with the school Inclusion Lead, Class Teachers and on your own initiative, to prepare and deliver appropriate provision within your teaching team to provide consistent and effective support. To make a valid contribution to the social, academic, moral, physical and emotional development.

The successful candidates will be committed to supporting children to achieve the very best they can through an engaging and inspiring curriculum. They will be innovative and creative in their teaching and be a strong team player. A knowledge and understanding of ADHD would be desirable for this role.

The Nursery (12 months-3 years), Junior School (ages 3-11) and the Senior School (ages 11-18) are all housed in picturesque buildings set in their own grounds with specialist facilities.
