Contract: Fixed Term, until  July 2029, 39 weeks per year (38 weeks plus 5 inset days)

Hours:  17 hours  30 minutes

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday  8.30am-12 noon

Salary: Scale 3 Point 5- 6  £25583 - £25989 FTE (actual salary £10373- £10538 per annum)

We are seeking a skilled Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil on a 1 to 1 basis but also working with small groups of pupils in the classroom setting. The post is for 5 days a week (17.5) Monday to Friday:8.30am - 12 noon. This post will be a fixed term contract to end July 2029. We are a good school seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant with a "can-do" attitude who is committed to raising standards for those they work with. You will need to have an ability to work flexibly and with enthusiasm. You will work in partnership with class teachers and the SENCO, to support learning in line with the National Curriculum. 

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Experience of supporting children in a school setting

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • Able to support the child's medical needs and willing to deal with intimate care needs

  • Knowledge of successful strategies to engage pupils with specific and significant needs

  • Is able to demonstrate patience, calmness and flexibility at all times

  • A commitment to high achievement from pupils and themselves

  • Excellent organisation and inter-personal skills

  • Good standard of education: Maths and English GCSE grades A-C or equivalent

  • Good knowledge of ICT

  • Flexibility and a good sense of humour

  • The ability to use their own initiative

  • Willing to undertake training and support individual needs.
