Job overview
What Skills and Experience We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a kind, patient and committed Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Reception. The child has identified specific learning difficulties (SpLD), is currently on the assessment pathway for Autism and ADHD, and an application for an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) is being progressed.
The successful candidate will be compassionate, adaptable and able to build a strong, trusting relationship with the child, helping them to access learning and thrive within the classroom environment.
Experience of supporting children with a range of additional learning needs would be highly beneficial. The role requires someone who can follow guidance from the class teacher and SENDCo, while also using their own initiative to respond sensitively to the child's individual needs throughout the school day.
Above all, we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and is passionate about helping them to develop both academically and emotionally in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
What the School Offers Its Staff
Benedict House offers a warm, caring, and inclusive working environment where every member of staff is valued and supported. You will join a dedicated body of professionals who work closely together to ensure every child receives an excellent start to their education.
Staff benefit from strong pastoral leadership, opportunities for professional growth, and a genuine sense of community within the school and across the Chatsworth Schools group. We are proud to offer a culture of kindness, teamwork, and high expectations, where your contribution will make a real difference to children’s lives.
If you are ready to make a positive impact and support our wonderful children in their learning journey, we would love to hear from you!
