Swanshurst is an ‘Outstanding School’ for girls with over 1800 students on roll aged 11-19 years. We offer excellent support and CPD for staff at all stages of their career.

Are you passionate, enthusiastic, motivated and committed to raising achievement of students with a range of additional needs and barriers to learning?

 

We are seeking to appoint a Raising Achievement Assistant who is highly motivated and innovative to work 1:1 with young people who have complex additional needs, with autism as their overriding need. The successful candidate will have the motivation and enthusiasm to raise the achievement and ensure that their barriers to learning are met appropriately. This will be through a combination of 1:1 Teaching and supporting pupils to join in with small targeted group work.

You will be working in a vibrant team and will bring with your particular experience, skills or interests in working with students who need a bespoke curriculum to be delivered on a 1:1 basis or within a very small group. You will have the patience and the ability to nurture pupils with complex and significant needs who are unable to be taught in a mainstream classroom and need be taught in a way that is designed specifically for their individual needs.
