Oaklands is a thriving special school based in Isleworth and serving the London Borough of Hounslow. Oaklands pupils aged 11 – 19, have severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism.
Oaklands is at an exciting point in its development; our student numbers have already increased by one third during the past 4 years and we are currently working towards further expansion and full school relocation to a purpose built new school in Hounslow for September 2018. Once full, Oaklands will operate on two sites, will have primary, secondary and college departments.
We are looking for a highly experienced member of staff to work one to one with an autistic student that displays very challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will have experience of managing challenging behaviour and must be of physically capable of managing the student when challenge occurs.
This position is advertised as an initial one year contract in line with agreed funding for the pupil.
