Vision for Education are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant (TA) to join their supply agency and work in a Primary School within the Newcastle area. This will be a full-time role, working on a 1:1 basis with one pupil, between the hours of 08:30-15:30, Monday-Friday. This job role is set to begin in October 2021 until December 2021, with potential to extend further. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is a Level 3 Qualification in Childcare. 

The role

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with and supporting SEN pupils. As part of this role, the candidate will be working on a 1:1 basis, supporting a pupil with complex needs in Key Stage 1. Therefore, they must be confident in implementing different learning strategies and support mechanisms to aid pupil development. The successful candidate will be also able to actively engage with the pupils and build trusting, working relationships.

Requirements

To be considered for the 1:1 Teaching Assistant position, you will:

• Have had experience of supporting children in KS1. 

• Be creative and enthusiastic towards delivering learning to the children. 

• Hold a minimum of Level 3 Qualification in Childcare. 

• Have experience of working with SEND. 

• Extensive knowledge of the curriculum.
