About the role

To support students, including those within SEN, with their learning and personal care needs; to work with other staff to further students’ independence and to enable them to access specific areas of the curriculum. The post holder will also organise and undertake other related duties to support learning, personal and social development.

We encourage applicants with a musical or creative talent/interest to apply. 

Monday to Friday, 32.5 hours per week 8.45am to 3.45pm with a 30-minute lunch break. Term time only.  Fixed term contract whilst the child attends the Academy.

Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.

Motivation to work with children and young people.

Good numeracy/literacy skills.

Ability to engage with a wide range of students from different backgrounds

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the Academy

Be able to work under pressure and prioritise your own workload

Be able to inspire, motivate and enthuse students throughout the academy

Ability to safely manage classroom activities and learning resources

Be willing to be involved in the wider life of the academy community

Be professional in appearance, punctuality and attendance

5 GCSE at  C grade or above including Maths and English
